- Artwork may be submitted in either hard copy or electronic format.
- All artwork is kept on file for no longer than 24 months.
- Hard copy artwork must be "camera ready" flat, sharp, black and white line art.
- Shaded artwork should be submitted at 100% size with a screen frequency of 45 LPI.
- Multiple color orders require color-separated art with registration marks.
Berger Novelties & Awards accepts electronic art via e-mail or disk.

We accept floppy disk, zip disk, and compact disk formatted for PC. Please observe the following guidelines.
- 1) We will need a hard copy of your art sent with your order to verify art files once they are opened.
- 2) Please put your company name, address, phone number with area code, customer number, purchase order number and file name of the artwork on all artwork sent.
- 3) Artwork can be accepted in one of the following formats:
- Adobe Illustrator: Up to version 10. *Must be a true illustrator file (created in Illustrator not imported) *Convert all text to curves.
- CorelDraw: Up to version 10. *Must be a true CorelDraw file. (Created in CorelDraw not imported) *Convert all text to curves.
- Adobe Photoshop: Up to Version 7.
- Berger Novelties & Awards can also accept images scanned and saved as
- .tif,
- .bmp,
- .pcx,
- or eps format.
These images should be scanned as Black and White line art, not color or gray scale. If the services of an artist are required to create usable art for you, the standard rate of $50.00 per hour will be charged and this will add addition production time to your order.

Items found to be printed or engraved incorrectly due to Berger Novelties & Awards' error will be replaced at no charge when returned within 30 days from receipt of item. Berger Novelties & Awards will provide Return Authorization labels. Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned to sender and billed for freight. A credit will not be issued for merchandise that is unavailable to be returned to Berger Novelties & Awards.

This Order constitutes a contract for merchandise printed or produced expressly for the Purchaser, and is therefore not subject to countermand, except by mutual agreement with the Company, in which event the Purchaser agrees to reimburse Company for any and all expenses incurred on this order in the interim. All orders are considered firm, and cannot be canceled without approval from Berger Novelties & Awards. Written documentation must be sent to confirm the cancellation request. Upon receiving the documentation, a $30.00 cancellation charge will apply in addition to cost of dies, logo, screens, artwork, including all materials produced.

Purchaser, by placing this order , signifies that they have read and understand all stipulations herein, that copy desired, quantities, and prices are correct, that they will accept shipment of merchandise, and pay for same as agreed directly to BERGER NOVELTIES AND AWARDS, including transportation charges, and hold and defend Company against any and all expenses involved in collecting this account including but not limited to attorney and court fees. A charge of $50 applies to all corrections received after the die, screen, logo, or artwork has be made. Corrections are not possible on orders that have been printed or engraved.

An additional charge of $15 applies to each drop shipment per order.
Export Papers & Special Packaging
All orders for export (except Canada and Puerto Rico) requiring documentation will be billed at a rate of $25.00 per box.

All orders faxed will be considered the original purchase order. The legibility of faxed orders will be the responsibility of the customer. Berger Novelties & Awards is not responsible for any Fax malfunction that would affect receipt of the order or omitted information on the order. All faxed orders requiring artwork WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED TO SHIP until the actual artwork is received.

All shipments are F. O. B. Factory or
warehouse and title passes when said items are delivered to common carrier
for consignment to purchaser. Shipping and handling charges will be
applied to the invoice. Shipments received in Illinois are subject to
sales tax. Purchaser agrees that he is responsible for any city, county,
state, federal or other taxes created by making this contract, and
Purchaser further agrees that he will pay any and all such taxes directly

The imprint or engraving will be set for best appearance at Berger Novelties & Awards' discretion using the maximum imprint area, unless specified on the purchase order.

Unless credit has been established, minimum payment of 50% is required prior to the order being placed into production. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cashier's check, or Money Order. Checks will require a ten day waiting period. Production will not begin until the Credit Department has received payment.

Performance of this contract is contingent upon strikes, fires, or any cause beyond the control of Company and Berger Novelties & Awards cannot assume liability on non-fulfillment of orders caused by the inability to obtain raw materials, due to embargoes, strikes, fires, or other causes beyond our control.

Due to imprinting, Company reserves the right to make a
5% over or under on imprinted item orders will be invoiced for the exact
quantity shipped and will be considered complete. Orders requiring an
exact count will be charged $35.00. Charges apply to each drop shipment.

Production time begins when:
1. Camera ready art has been received by the factory.
2. Credit has been established or payment has been received.
3. Complete specification on Purchase Order received.
4. Ship date approved by factory.
5. All order details clarified.
6. All proofs approved.

To ensure an exact duplication on reorder, send a sample from the previous order. Please reference Berger Novelties & Awards' previous invoice number or previous purchase order number on all repeat orders. Previous orders are kept on file no longer than a 24-month period. Repeat orders after that period will require new artwork. All set-up and logo charges will apply. PMS color matches, multi-color set-ups, and multi-color running charges are charged on each repeat order.

All orders should specify an "In Hands" date including the shipment method. If the shipping method is not specified, Berger Novelties & Awards reserves the right to ship by whatever means are necessary to meet that "In Hands Date". Berger Novelties & Awards is not responsible for freight charges incurred on "Special Shipping Method" or "Extra Charges" due to dimensional weight. Lost or damaged merchandise in transit is the responsibility of the carrier. The customer must initiate any claim with the carrier immediately.
